For those people who love to take lots of digital photos, keeping track of them all on your computer can become quite a challenge. There are many software programs that will charge you money for photo fixing and organization, but then there are others that will do essentially the same things for free. Google offers one of these freeware programs called Picasa that will keep track of all the photos on your computer easily.

It allows you to sort your pictures by date, name, and even people in the shots. In addition, Picasa lets you edit your pictures for red eye, color, lighting and other effects. You can also get creative with this program by designing collages, adding text to photos, and making video sideshows complete with music and captions.
